Salesforce is not a training or certification body, but a private for-profit company that offers some of the most popular customer relations management systems in the world.  Their Customer 360 product is the world’s #1 CRM.  Because of this popularity, they offer certifications on their most popular products.  These certifications are highly valued within the business community because companies want people who know how the salesforce products work.  These certifications include Salesforce Administrator, Salesforce Architect, Salesforce B2C Commerce Developer, and many more.

Salesforce offers their certifications through their Trailhead program.  It states on their website “Salesforce credentials grow your resume and highlight your skills. Prove your hands-on experience with Salesforce and get a competitive edge that leads to new opportunities.”  It’s clear many people have followed this path, with over 34,000+ people listing a certification on their LinkedIn profile.  The most popular certification they seem to offer is the Salesforce Administrator credential.  Salesforce was launched in 1999 with a SaaS customer relationship management program.  They quickly grew in scale and sophistication.  The company is heavily invested in giving back.  The use the 1-1-1 model, which commits 1% of their equity, their technology, and their peoples’ time to improving education, equality, and the environment for everyone.
